    Hi Guys,

    Will we be seeing a .net/nodejs/similar firmware update for wiser2?

    Starting to get clients moan that they are getting warnings about Chrome not supporting their Wiser2 come the end of the year.

    SHAC/NAC are NOT viable replacements for 2 reasons, they are expensive to buy, they take 10x as long to configure and clients won't pay for the time that takes.

    Not wanting to drop only a problem, but a possible solution, maybe a modded (and heavily discounted) Homegate Dongle that requires Wiser2 to be present to work?

    Yes I too would like to know what clipsals road map is with flash being deprecated.
    I have a similar situation where we have a wiser 2 with a pc controlling lighting where the app on a mobile device is not suitable.

    Roadmap is to replace Flash Server with new HTML5 Solution, in time before the FLash support is fully withdrawn,
    Intention will be a firmware update to existing Wiser 2, that will work with existing project but convert the project content to HTML, Generally to a web browser it will look the same. Additionally to this Mobile Apps in IOS and Android are having expanded functionality to be equivalent in administration and support of Wiser 2 and reduce the dependence on Web View for these functions. (this step has already been taken and will continue to evolve with updates to the Apps) WIser 2 Will get this migration, Wiser 1, and Wiser 1.5 Will not be included in this effort.

    Thanks for the Update, only 13 weeks before Flash is o_O and with the Xmas break coming it would be good to know a firm release date so I can schedule with clients for an update during the break to mitigate downtime issues.

    Hi All, I have just spoken to CIS in Adelaide re the promised updated firmware for Wiser2 to replace Flash with HTML5 or similar. This is despite past representations by CIS staff who browse this forum each time this issue is raised. Schneider have failed to state a formal position on this issue for some years.

    IT APPEARS THERE IS NO UPDATE COMING (in the foreseeable future), despite Flash being abandoned by most browsers officially at the end of December 2020. Their only solution from CIS is a workaround the mobile phone App. running under Windows - hardly a fix at all !!

    This is plainly unacceptable commercial conduct - especially as the 'Flash' support issue has been forewarned for over twoyears and the WHC2_5918 Wiser2 Controller is still a current product being sold by installers and wholesalers as I write.

    I believe this will require an action under Consumer Affairs (ACCC) consumer laws which apply to this product - unless a clear undertaking, by a specified date, is made by Clipsal (Integrated Systems) / Schneider to provide a firmware update to address this issue.

    Clipsal/Schneider are in clear contravention of Australia Consumer Law in this matter. A class action may be required. I would be nice if Clipsal could find time to announce formally their intentions re; theis issue

    I have received the following from a very nice person at CIS ( Qun Zhao) who recommended a 'Projector' work around to provide a windows solution without using a browser. I thought I would share the information. Whilst not a solution directly to the 'Flash' issue, I thought I would repost for those interested - please read the uploaded file for details

    Hi Andrew,

    How to setup the projector feature to remotely connect to Wiser 2 without using a Browser

    Attached a copy of the Application Note for your info, please don’t use the current PICED version 4.13.2, download the old version 4.13.1.45

    Ok so I managed to get access back to my wiser.
    This might help others in a similar situation until Clipsal gets their shit together.
    You will need to locate (I had to create it) mms.cfg

    Windows:
    %WINDIR%\System32\Macromed\Flash or
    %WINDIR%\SysWow64\Macromed\Flash

    Mac:
    /Library/ApplicationSupport/Macromedia

    linux:
    /etc/adobe/

    And add the following lines

    Code:
    AllowListRootMovieOnly=1
    EnableAllowList=1
    AllowListUrlPattern=http://Ip_Address_of_your_Wiser/

    This should unblock and allow access back to the Wiser UI.

    I added this to both folders and no joy.

    When you say 'unblock and allow access back to the Wiser UI', via the browser? I had no luck. Flash has already uninstalled itself, is that the issue?

    Bugger I did not know it was uninstalling itself. I use Linux so it requires a manual uninstall.

    Thank you works a treat. Always wondered what the projector icon was for but never investigated until now. I have it all working remotely as well :)

    Just thought I would let people in this thread know who aren't aware that the wiser 2 had finally been updated to remove flash and add HTML project visualization. The new firmware is available in the latest version of PICED.

    Would like to add that please refer to the latest announcement on Security update for Wiser 2 https://www.cbusforums.com/threads/...k-ii-spacelogic-c-bus-home-controllers.10949/

    In this forum this contains the links to PICED with the most recent version of the Firmware for Wiser MK II including some additional fixes for the the new HTML version and should be used to upgrade Wiser II, It is recommended to use this update and not the previous version that was released with HTML support
