Hi there, I thought I could connect simultaneously with Toolkit and Home Assistant, i.e. I thought Wiser had two CNI's?

Whenever I open the network on Toolkit v.1.16.2 Home Assistant becomes inoperative.
I have to close the network in Toolkit, reboot the Wiser2 in order to get Home Assistant working again.
    (I'm using cbus2mqtt).

    Thanks in advance,
    Enda

One CNI is used for Wiser access to Cbus. The other is used for external access. Both Toolkit and Home assistant are external access, so you can only use one at a time.

Does HA connect via C-Gate to C-Bus using the same instance of C-Gate that toolkit does, if so the you should be able to configure HA to communicate to C-Gate at the same time as Toolkit. Unless something has has changed in C-Gate that I am not aware off.

Ashley: Thanks for clarifying. Makes sense.

Wonkey: It's not using the same CGate. Toolkit is on one PC and Home Assistant is on a separate server.

Try connecting toolkit via the CGate used by HA (CGate supports multiple concurrent connections). Do this using FILE/CONNECT TO REMOTE CGATE in toolkit. You may have to edit the cgate access.txt file to allow this.

There are a number of forums threads discussing this option.
