I can not work out how to send something the the RCA Output on an cbus event happening.

I can only see the door bell option.

I assume I am limited the the vocab list ??

is there some way to send a wav file on a cbus event out the RCA Output ?

What is the RCA input used for (or going to be used for)

Want to send 4 different messages depending on 4 group addresses

    Currently the CBTI only supports:

    - Doorbell noise when a Lighting Group changes.
    - Security application messages.
    - Lighting Application state messages.

    Yes.

    Not really.

Nothing yet, it for future expansion.

I don't think there is anyway to do exactly what you want, but there may be a work around.

Using the Lighting Devices to configure you custom message to play when a lighting group changes. This message will be played whenever the group changes (on,off or any level). You will need to set up a group sepcific for the task and probably use a PACA or HomeGate/S+ to work some logic.

When the PACA/etc... detects that the message should be played it thens changes the group to a new value (any value) causing the message to be played. (Not sure off the top of my head but you may not even need to change the value but just resend the same value, would need to be tested).

    Does that make sense?

There are plans (partially implemented) to support Trigger Control and Enable Control applications to do this sort of thing. I'm not sure of the timeline for release of this feature, but it may not be until later this year.

Is there any way to edit the library files (ie edit the audio) that gets downloaded so that you can make a word on the vocablist that you dont use say something completely different. (same lenght though)

User defined audio is currently not supported.
