I have a remote c-gate on a few networks that runs permanently. I have upgraded to the latest version but cannot find a way to connect to it with the new SpaceLogic C-Bus Commission software that we are forced to use to configure the new dimmers.

C-Gates connect to CNI so only one instance is possible. Running a local instance of C-Gate alongside Spacelogic will not work because the CNI rejects a second connection.

    Thanks in advance.

if you can connect to the network via the latest toolkit, this is where you configure the network, then use the spacelogic crap and you should be able to connect. you shouldnt be trying to establish a new cgate connection to the cni as it can only handle one connection. but point toolkit to the remote cgate in this instance ensure toolkit on the machine is set to allow connections from the network. Basic dimmer functions (groups) can be done through toolkit - the dim curves and LE/TE can be done only in SL, unfortunately the new relays and saturn switches etc all only in the new SL software which at this point is terribly tedious

Thanks for taking the time to reply oracle! I've sketched my setup. How do I get the SL app to connect to the (remote) C-Gate. I can seemingly only have one instance of C-Gate. Toolkit can connect just fine but not SL?

The network configuration for spacelogic is adjusted inside the toolkit software and project - then opening spacelogic it should follow the settings from Toolkit, this might just be an annoying quirk you have found - I cannot test ATM I have rolled back my laptop, however I assume you are just trying to commision or adjust a new piece of equipment.
it may be easier to halt your HA and Cgate server steal the cni connection for your install then fire back your HA server and cgate once done?

I wish SA did use the C-Gate settings from Toolkit but sadly it does not. Do you recall how you managed to get it to work that way? For me SA seems to insist on using a local C-Gate instance. Halting the remote C-Gate is what I have resorted to but then the two C-Gate databases get out of sync, alarms are triggered and the occupants cannot operate the premises while I am working.

I have rolled back my updated version of toolkit at the moment also I have moved cbustomqtt in home assistant so I am not running remote cgate server ATM. I think you have now found another feature of spacelogic for me to dislike it further.
