SpaceLogic C-Bus Commission NO areas ?

I've just added a new CBUS dimmer to an old CBUS set up.
I've used old toolkit to alter existing items
I've used new spacelogic software to program new dimmer

The old program made use of areas an in toolkit there is an area tab in the unit identification.

I have looked everywhere in the spacelogic software but cannot find any mention of areas

Can somone please help ?

 

My understanding is that that field is is no longer supported.

 

Ironically-or just plain frustrating-after doing hundreds of cbus repairs/installations where the 'area" function is very rarely used my first two jobs with new dimmers had this function used as part of the original installation!!
I see that you are following the other post with a similar issue-lets see if a solution is offered there.

 

Jonny P - are Schneider this bad in Aus as well !

 

They probably dont read the room as well as they possibly could!!
Do you have somewhere to store scenes on your job??

 

Have you tried reaching out on the official Schneider forums? My understanding is this forum is un-official and more or less enthusiast / community driven.

good luck getting support from official channels - they make silly changes without considering the consequences, however the original Cbus developers moved on so we have people thinking and making compatible products without real worlrd experience using it or developing it. The process of asking the community left the same time the packaging turned green

 

I've posted on the "Spacelogic C-Bus commission" forum but it NT active and no one replied !

Quite frankly I don't know why Schneider don't simply give up on this product rather than letting it drag on and providing abysmal to no support. What they don't see is actual customers and the effect is has on their view of C-BUS and indeed Schneider !
