Serial PC Interface not network access

have a out of the box serial PC interface which is not seen with C-bus toolkit.
When using diagnostic software the interface unit is seen as a PCLocal4 which is not listed in 1.1.8 tools

After a serial port scan PCI seen but project identity failed

C gate unit sync fails

Diags tool unit seem ok but Unit Type seen as "PCLOCAL4"

I have a serial PC interface and L5504d2a connected all out of the box.
both must be at 255 address?

Diags software show the interface OK

Scan does not work

I dont think your Network is actually working.. I suggest you contact Technical Support and they can guide you through getting it workingl

 

A Quick way to get the network working is to use Learn Mode. If you put the L5504D2A into Learn Mode then both LEDs will probably flash on and off together. During this time the dimmer is sorting out unit address, network burden and clock issues. Once it drops into the alternate flashing LED sequence then the network is communicating and is in Learn Mode. Simply exit learn mode and the network should then be communicating.

Have People Done The Basic Course

Question for some peoplein the forum.

HAVE THEY DONE THE BASIC COURSE TO ACCESS THE NETWORK

From what I read, some of the problem people are having are that the are pulling the product out of the box and not using the Burden Plug to get the clock and burden sorted first!
