    Scenario :

Several NEO keypads controlling a number of Dimmer / Relay modules.

We are trying to reconfgure (and fault find) an existing system.

For example we have a dimmer "D1" on area "A1" with a single channel (a light) as group 1 "G1".

We can't seem to ramp G1 (or any group) below about 40% brightness (at a 0% ramp it still is about 40%). There is no minimum set in the dimmer's settings. Only changing the area ramp seems to get around this.

I'd rather specify a scene with individual ramps rather than ramping an area.

    What have I missed here?

    Cheers, Anton.

The first thing to check is that the correct messages are being sent over C-Bus. You can check this using the C-Bus Diagnostic Utility.

The next thing to check is to be sure that the channel minimum/maximum values are set to 0% and 100% respectively.

Check to make sure there aren't any logic groups associated with that channel as they may be affecting the minimum output value.

Finally, it may be a factor of the load type. Things like dimmable CFL's can have very high minimum brightness levels, which is something they do to increase their compatibility with dimmers.
