Mider- Cbus Tag Database

Is there anyway to get minder 4.04 to tag database C-Bus in XP without downloading the new version 4.06. Any Ideas

Many have tried, many have failed...

wait till you get to a C-Bus multi-network project on "'M" and you have to manually set it up. I hear fun and games was had by all.

 

When I installed my Minder I had a dual-boot Win2K / Win98SE machine, the latter OS used only occasionally to run software that struggled under Win2K.

The machine also had a shared FAT32 partition move move data between the OS.

When it came to moving the tag database I placed the project files on the shared drive. I then duplicated the software install on the Win98SE partition and performed the tag import. I then re-booted into Win2K.

Many will consider the cure worse than the problem it cures. However, when I passed the tip along to an integrator who dealt mainly in large buildings, he followed my suggestion and was extremely pleased with the time-savings that resulted.
