I suppose it depends on the level of integration required. C-Bus has a wide variety of options for integration. What ways does Conson support integration by third-parties?

C-Bus supports digital IO (bus coupler), IR, Windows DLL, Linux SO, serial interface, Java based server. Also available are a few integration products design for product developers.

Hmm, the best I can come up with without writing lumps of software would be to hook up a C-Bus relay unit output to the switch inputs of the Conson switch input modules, but that would create a range of isolation issues for the Conson system no doubt.

Is there a similar product to the C-Bus PCI in the Conson range?

    re conson

If conson installers would not be so secretive about product i could tell you
    even having trouble getting software

C-Bus is far superior to Conson, so I'd suggest you to replace Conson with C-Bus and make your life easier.

    re your reply Zeljko

Try tell that to a customer that has a 145 Square Home

It was hard enough converting him to Cbus for the extention but i still have to intergrate old system

if you don't have to many conson switches to control you could use a conson IR input module and control via ir.

I think Conson have an RS-232 interface, not sure if they publish any interface protocol specs though. I believe CIS will shortly be releasing a device which allows you to map RS-232 strings to C-Bus events, so this may be an answer.

Good luck, I think you?ll get assistance from Clipsal and/or this forum, not sure about how helpful Conson will be. As you say, they seem to play their cards very close.
