DLT Label Length

    You can send labels up to 14 characters in length to a DLT unit. In general, depending on the width of the characters used, only about 9 characters will actually be visible. In the past, you had to use trial and error to find out if a label would fit on a DLT screen.

    Toolkit 1.3.0 and later can now calculate the length of a label and will turn the text of a label red in the Edit Labels dialog if it will be too long to physically fit on a DLT screen.
