Wiser 2 - with the latest firmware.
Can get to the web interface from a local PC on port 80 (default) logs in ok.
If we try to login from the WAN we get a "please use https" warning.
If we try to login locally or remotely with https then we get a "refused to connect" warning page.
Ports 80, and 443 are forwarded.
We have setup a DNS entry for external access.
We have tried each of the 3 SSL security options - Lets Encrypt, Setup SSL and even purchased a certificate.
Each option doesnt appear to work or change anything.

    What are we missing here?

FYI - external DNS name is entered into the lets encrypt field in Piced software.

Try changing the port you are using for WAN connection On the info Colin provided on the update info for the Wiser it states:

This firmware update enables several security enhancements and bug fixes.

    • Security enhancements
    • Password validation rules have been improvement to make sure strong passwords are used
    • Port 80 has been disabled for remote access to enhance security
    • New feature added to web client which enables users to upload CA signed certificate for the device
    • New feature added to web client which enables users to generate Let’s Encrypt signed certificate for the device (requires internet connection)
    • HTTPS protocol has been introduced for web client
    • HTTP protocol is disabled for remote connection for web and mobile clients

Just going through this issue my self. Passwords are now min 8 digits with at least 1upper case and lower case letter and a number or symbol. you will need to update passwords to work.

How did you set up Lets Encrypt?

When you say the Web Client has a new feature for Lets Encrypt, is that the Mobile App or logging in from a PC via http(s)://xx.xx.xx.xx:80?
My Wiser2 will NOT let me log in via HTTP on port 80 via local lan, even after a factory reset.
