Hi all, In recognition of the fact that many people use and integrate with C-Gate in myriad ways on different platforms, it is now available as a separate zip distribution. The downloads pages will be updated at a later date, but for now you can get the first such distribution here. It has absolutely no functional difference to the C-Gate already included in the latest Windows installer for C-Bus Toolkit 1.13.0. There are however some differences between the zip distribution and the typical Windows installation of C-Gate: A private JRE is not included. It is up to you to provide a Java Runtime Environment on the system. C-Gate is not installed as a service or daemon. It is up to you to configure C-Gate to launch as and when desired. A simple cgate.sh launcher is included to launch from a Linux shell. Windows USB drivers are not included. For first-time Windows installations you should use the C-Bus Toolkit installer. Built-in support for serial ports on Java 32-bit for Windows, Linux and Mac OSX. Note that you can install a 32-bit Java on a 64-bit operating system. Built-in support for serial ports on Java 64-bit for Linux. Configurable support for serial ports on Java for Windows 64-bit and Java for MacOS X 64-bit by moving and renaming files (see \lib\serial-readme.txt). Please don't contact Technical Support for problems with this distribution. You will need to be familiar with your target OS, with platform scripting and with executing Java applications.
