    Hi,

C-Bus Toolkit 1.12.7 has been released. It includes C-Gate 2.9.7. You can find it at the CIS Downloads page.

This release of Toolkit brings support for eDLT.

I've at least got 1.12.7 to install and run on a Windows 8 PC, however when I "Find C-Bus Networks" I can't find my c-bus networks. I have tried the CNI and PCI. Normally (edit: with Toolkit in the Windows Vista environment) when I "Scan COM Ports" Toolkit generates a list of all open serial ports on my computer and scans each one in turn, however toolkit says there are "no serial ports to display".
When I run the C-Bus IP Utility it is seeing my CNI on the network.
Why is Toolkit not seeing my CNI or any of the com ports on my computer?

Hi brodricj, when you say "normally" was that with TK 1.12.5 on the same Windows 8 PC?

I've never been able to install any prior version of Toolkit in Windows 8. I've just got off the phone to CIS Tech Support and they suggested installing TC1.12.7 again only this time disable the C-Gate Windows service option during the installation wizard. This has solved the issue, TC can now find the CNI on my network (I haven't checked whether it can see my serial ports on the computer and connect via PCI).
So at the moment I have a successful TC installation in the Windows 8 environment. But no mention of Windows 8 support in the release notes for TC1.12.7!

Hi Roosta, are you able to send an exception e-mail through? If the crash doesn't produce the report dialog, you can go to "Help" | "Report a Problem" in C-Bus Toolkit to do this.

I got C-bus working as described above, if I connect via PCI it keeps telling me PCI failed to reset. Also working on Windows 8.

    C-Gate Server Error

Hi I have just downloaded the latest CBusToolkit_1_12_7_1166. and get the following error when I run the application. (Windows 7)

C-Gate Server is running. Please shutdown the application first and then run the installer again.

I have stopped the C-Gate Server and I can see its stopped under the Services tab and even rebooted the PC and I still get the same error. Any ideas?

    cheers

    Fixed

Ok you have to uninstall C-Gate first and restart the PC and then install the C-Bus toolkit. The C-Bus tool kit installs the latest version of C-Gate.

    cheers

    :)

    C-Bus Crash

So now I have the toolkit up and running, now every time I connect to my network it crashes with no error message. Is there a log file for C-Bus.

    This is very frustrating.
