C-Bus Relay Unit L5512RVF "Unit not responding"

    Hi All,
    First time poster.

    New to C-Bus, I have started to build a test lab in preparation for a new build.

    I've got a SHAC, 12 Ch Relay and eDLT swittch.

    In toolkit i am unable to program the 12 Ch Relay (L5512RVF)

    I get the error "Unit not responding" also comes up with "No serial #" and voltage is 0.5v but is providing power to the C-Bus network.

    The 12Ch Relay is second hand so not sure if it's faulty, toggle works on all channels.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Intial thoughts are the unit has failed.
    But it seems strange that you could scan it in.
    Do you have a burden enabled on your interface or a hardware one plugged in. You will need one or the other on a small network.
    Down load diagnosis utility and run the relialablity test for an hour or so
    This may help give you a clue as to whether its the relay at fault or a poor network with regard to communications.
    Dumb questions your are running the latest version of toolkit from a windows machine not an emulator.

    Thanks Colin,
    Got it fixed. It did need a Burden, unfortunately the SHAC didn't have the option available and couldn't access the relay programming without a stable network
    Ended up plugging my C-bus equipment into the in-laws and turning it on the relay.
    Unfortunately the hardware burdens come in 10 packs

    Hi All,I have replaced a C-Bus New Relay Unit L5512RVF and my electrician hard wired all the channels and the relay is connected to cbus network Both the green lights are on.The relay can be seen on Toolkit but the installed hard wired channel input groups is not showing how do I get the relay to show up the channels in the groups?

    Are you familiar with Toolkit? What do you see when you open the unit for editing in Toolkit? Can you provide a screen shot or two..
