    This is looking pretty nice.
One issue so far with the MRA.
I have 5 inputs wich display and control on a browser but the iPhone app only displays and controls the first 4 inputs - in all zones

Oh yeah, you are right... there is a small bug here..

a temporary workaround: you could add extra dummy input source to make it even number because odd number of sources will appear to be even number of sources.

Fixes will be on the next release. Thanks for spotting the bug. :) Hope you enjoy playing the app.

I get a lovely black screen without any icons at all.

Turns out this application doesn't like a wiser without any function groups used.

Do you get the button in the top right to switch to location view?

It works on my iPod touch 2nd generation. Have you update your iPod touch to 2.2.1 or higher?

Hmm.. this doesn't sounds good, looks like that view doesn't get enough information. Well, you can still be able to access the location content temporarily by shaking your iPhone/iPod touch or change the "Startup Mode" to "Location", and the fix is on the way...

    Web camera widget

    Hi guys.

We've been trialling the Wiser iPhone app and so far it's been great. The only problem we have had is viewing the camera widgets externally (either via 3G or WAN by wireless). This works as expected at home when connected via LAN, so not sure what the problem is - any ideas?

    Regards,

    Mark

Mine are working fine, although I recall I had a similar problem early on.

    From memory, it was either

    - the URL I had entered for the webcam in PICED... I may have left the "http://" off the front, and for some reason this worked from the LAN but not on the WAN.

    - the port specified for the camera. You need to specify a unique port number for the camera, but DON'T forward this port in the Wiser's port forwarding setup... the Wiser does it automagically.

    Hi Nick,

Based on what I've read, iPhone/iTouch apps should work on the iPad. However, I suspect Clipsal should want to change the layout to better suit the new display size. That is, the iPhone/iTouch app looks good on the small screen but will need to be redesigned to fit the much larger iPad screen. I guess that is your question about the special version. It'll probably take a little while though. I haven't even seen an iPad available for sale yet.

Nick is right, also of course, if you're using the Wiser in LAN mode (as a LAN device), then you'll need to have your actual gateway's port forwarding setup correctly. One other hint, if you're using the Wiser as a router/gateway, you'll also need to make sure your camera's are configured to use the Wiser as their gateway. Otherwise, the iPhone's request to get the image will come in over 3G, get to the Wiser, Wiser will pass it to the camera as an external request, and then the camera will go "uhm, no gateway to which I should send my response to, oh well, ignore". Similarly, for a 3rd party gateway, your cameras will also need to be configured to use the 3rd party gateway.

Gen 1 iPod touch will need to install the app through iTunes. Download the app into your desktop, drag the app into iTunes, then sync it to your iPod touch. Hope this helps :)

Thanks Nick and kjayakumar for the suggestions.

I'll double check these during the week and let you know how they go.

    Fixed.

    All sorted.

My settings in Wiser, camera and router were all OK - the router was on it's way out with intermittent faults. We have installed a new one and all works fine, even got the second iPhone connecting OK (previously only mine would connect remotely but not the wife's [did check and double check settings]).

    Regards,

    Mark

Did the app ever work with your Wiser before? Which firmware version do you have for your Wiser? Just in case you need to change the login information for the application instead of uninstall the app, you can goto the Home screen by tapping the home button, goto Settings, and choose Wiser. You can change the login settings and other preferences over there.
