Wiser Enable Daylight Savings Option

Hi Guys

On the Wiser Settings accessed via the web interface there's an option "Enable Daylight" . Question is how can this be set in the PICED configuration so its part of the config downloaded to the Wiser

Take a look under 'Project Details' under the 'Project' menu in PICED. Under the Options box that comes up, make sure the entries in 'Location' and 'Daylight Savings' are correct.

Also look in the PICED help file for the 'Project - Details' section for a full description of what to do. The help file is an awesome comprehensive resource (and should be first port of call) for trying to find info on anything you are trying to do.

So here's a couple of screen shots that illustrate the issue.

The first is the daylight sayings setup.

I then immediately downloaded this config to my Wiser and took the screen shot of the Enable Daylight savings flag that was set before the download , but was cleared by the download.

So I'm looking for a way to make this Enable Daylight flag part of the download so I don't have to try an remember to set it after each download.

So the issue is
- Enable Daylight is cleared by a download of the wiser config
- Is there a way of making this flag part of the wise config

Anyone else have to set this after each download ????

 

The state of the DST flag is actually stored on the CNI connected to the Wiser. After you transfer a project to the Wiser, the Wiser will request this state from the CNI. The CNIs paired with the Wiser are different than the old CNIs as the Wiser CNIs have RTCs inside them. This is true in both the NTP enabled and NTP disabled case. It might take a few minutes during initialization for the Wiser to retrieve this state. If you're seeing that the Adobe Flash UI does not display the correct DST flag well after bootup (say 5 minutes), then that would suggest something unexpected is going on.

 

I have the exact same problem

The enable Daylight is always off after an upload.

Even if I go to the web interface and try and tick it and Click SET - it lasts about 10 seconds and then unticks itself again!
