    Hello everyone.

I recently updated the software suite (problem free) and the iphone app and breathed a sigh of relief... Finally got some time off, put my feet up and started playing with media center only to find the Wiser plug in no longer works!
The media center PC is Windows 7 (32 bit, at this stage) and running Windows 7 Ultimate, with WMC being version 6.1.7600.16385

So... starting up the 'Home Control' widget, I'm presented with a blank blue screen with the familiar green connection icon. Other info that I can find:

    Internet security information
    Page name: wiser
Security: This is not a secure page
    Address: resx://ClipsalMediaCenter/ClipsalMediaCentre.Resources/MainPage

Tried downloading and installing the plug-in again from the CIS site.
    Projector control has been enabled

Can't think of anything else to add except it all worked before the upgrade :)
    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

There is a defect in the WMC plugin. You are correct that it does not work with 1.25.0 firmware. I'll raise it to the attention of the right people.

Do people actually use this feature? I know it's been there but I reckon it's one of those things that was put in, never used and then quietly left alone whilst other features were worked on.

I doubt that this will get looked at to be honest especially for wiser 1, I'd say that more time and effort would be being spent on Wiser 2 and getting it available this year.

From what I've been told, Wiser 2 has a HDMI port and has the ability to receive direct remote control commands thru the HDMI cable, meaning you could plug it into your TV, change input channels and have wiser at your TV remote fingertips.

    Interesting feature...!

They should be spending less money buying push controls and getting some more staff to finish all their existing new products and existing ones.

    Very good point.

Will be interesting to see how the big green machine handle Wiser and Push in the market place as they kinda do a very similar thing.

Ideal would be a nice slick interface that grabs the best from both worlds and merges it into one product, as together they kind of eliminate the opposing weaknesses.

    Here's one installer hoping

    Cheers

And to allow the device to be able to be connected to more than just a Class C network. Something that shouldnt have been there in the first place
