I just found lucky a fix for my Wiser that I thought I would share as I have been fighting it for 9 months with nothing that helped to be found.
I was getting occasional drop outs and unable to properly connect (the program would load but not connect)
To fix it I removed the plastic joining bracket between the CNI and the main wiser controller which immediately rectified the problem.
It seems that the LAN on the CNI has a bad connection due to the ridged joiner bracket.
    I hope this helps someone.

That may have just added enough pressure on the LAN connector to work (for a while). I had the same issue but had to run a separate LAN cable to Wiser and CNI then make a new power connector to feed both units. Someone attempted to remove the back connector without pressing the 3 tabs down.
