You need to design an install like this VERY carefully.

The 3 wireless networks can forward messages via a wired network if you set up the message forwarding option in the gateway (on the wireless side).

You can get wireless messages sent to the adjacent network (wired) but they won't go any further, and you can also set for them to be sent to ONE additional network (wireless in this case).

Check the options on the wireless side of your gateways.

(Note that this behaviour is identical to that of a standard cbus bridge)

Would c-gate also be an issue here, if i recall, the 'standard' version of c-gate would limit to 1 off wired and 1 off wireless as a maximum.

but then again i may be barking up the wrong tree...

    Cheers

Not with Toolkit 1.8 series. The C-Gate there has no network limitations or restrictions.

    Thank You

    Thanks for the help guys.

Got everything working by using Toolkit 1.8 - was previously trying everything with 1.6

    Thanks again for the help!

    Correct...

If you are using cgate with some other s/w, do what you like.

Limitations apply to Clipsal s/w like Schedule Plus and Homegate, though.

    Still having some problems....

    Hi guys,

Regarding my post above, we're still experiencing some problems with one of the wireless networks (out of three).

When we originally scanned the network we saw every switch and things looked great but now when we do a scan via Toolkit we're not seeing all the units that we should. Have tried re-scan but to no avail.

This might be a silly question but would each of the wireless networks require a network burden perhaps?

Thanks for your help and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Much the same as before. You can buy Homegate in (I think) 2 and 5 network versions, and Schedule Plus in 2, 5 (or is it 10?) and unlimited versions. The restriction on number of networks is enforced by the version of HomeGate or Schedule Plus that you bought.

Don't quote me on the exact number of networks listed above, I did know but I've forgotten the exact numbers.

    You get the point, thought.
