About to be dragged into the 21st century and going to buy a new laptop. All the operating systems now are based on Windows 7 just wondering if Toolkit and all the programming tools work OK with it.
Just thinking about a 32 bit system.

Appreciate any feedback on compatibility. Good, bad or indifferent......

    Thanks and regards,

    Hi fleetz,

Toolkit 1.11.2 should work on Windows 7 in both 64 bit and 32 bit variants.

The only thing to bear in mind is that you need to run the installer using an account with administrator rights in Windows.

    Toolkit goes ok

Piced still in dark ages and needs "Admin Cap" every time you start it - real pain in the A

Most modern processors in laptops will do 64 bits. I'd suggest you get one of those (eg Core / i5 / i7 based). Even if you run only a 32 bit OS you can change later if you want. Its probably all a bit over the top but I kinda like having options left open.
