So I guess there are in infinite number of screens you could afix to your wall to use as a SHAC controller, since all it needs is a browser. I guess a cheap android tablet would be one, although you'd have to go wireless rather than wired. Does anybody have any recommendations other than Clipsal's 5000ETP10W, or advice on things to consider?

I use iPads. I wrote an app for iOS/iPad OS that opens an embedded browser full screen and allows password passing, wifi detection, changing start page etc.I do also have app for MacOS and Android, but it is not a fully featured as the IOS/IPad OS App. I was also manufacturing my own iPad mounts, for 9.7" iPad, but have currently stopped making them until Apple announce the next iPads, so I can decided which iPad size I make them for. Info on the App etc can be found on www.crowhurst.com.au.

I the meantime I've been looking into puting a RPI in a standard Saturn Zen Switch.

I've had clients use Surface Go, iPad Mini and crappy no name android tablets.

Personally I preferred the Go but all worked well enough.
