Wanting to buy a used or new 5500CN

One of my friends like the idea of a 5500CN after seeing mine and I am shopping around for a used one or unwanted new.

Please let me know if you have one for sale. Looking to take delivery any time you can dispose of one.

Willing to consider a new unit at a marginal rate of discount. Seems that not many people have used ones to spare.

They go by on ebay pretty regularly, ~$400 seems to be about the going rate on there.

Not as often as I had hoped. But yes it does happen.

Always the way, whenever you need one there's none listed - when you don't want them there'll be tons on there... :)

I even looked on UK eBay and saw only one Ethernet bridge.

Are you sure you've got your terminology right there? There is a Network Bridge (C-Bus to C-Bus) and an Ethernet interface (C-Bus to Ethernet) but not an 'Ethernet bridge'. If that's the terminology the seller used it just might be a 5500CN?

No it was a network bridge as you pointed out. C-C not C-Lan.

You should propose to him to get a wiser...

A little bit cheap and way more thinks to do with...

Now that is something to think about. Despite its retail price it costs almost as much as 60 Burden resistors ! :) In fact I am considering to sell my 5500CN in preference to a WISER ~ Now the whole equation is inverted.

What do they call cheap in Greece ? I think $1000 Australian dollars is about 5 Euro.

It's not very polite to make fun of someone who hasn't English as mother language... :(

Anyway, I wrote that wiser is a little bit cheaper than a 5500CN because I forgot that prices in Europe are very different than in Australia.

    In UK a 5500CN costs ?597 ($960) and a wiser costs ?525($844).
In Australia you can get a 5500CN for $550 (43% discount).

Finally, if you are thinking to sell your CNI for getting a wiser, sell it to your friend instead of trying to find another used one :D

My apology, there is no insult intended. Often my humour is different but hoping it is never insulting.

But honestly, the Euro was very very strong in 2009 and many times it feels like my $1000 only buys $520 Euros. Happy today that it can buy $670 Euro. Much better.

When you visit EU from AU it is very easy to feel that $1000 AU only buys one cup of coffee. I was in Paris just 3 days and $1900 was spent for normal tourism and hotels.
