    Hi jason

I know it may be obvious but just to be sure you have used units with power supplies?

    yes

yes have the ones with the power surpply ive also read on this forum that if you hold down 1 of the channels for 10 seconds you will light up the c-bus light on the dimmer but then you have to sort out the clockon the tool kit is this right?

Where have you not got voltage, have you got the c-bus and unit lights on on the dimmers and relay.
and just do not have voltage to the input units, how have you connected to the network ie. did you crimp an rj45 plug on or strip back a c-bus lead?

    hi Jason

you need to enable a c-bus clock and also make sure you have a burden on the network the cabling sounds a bit messy but in theory you can wire the network star or daisy chain or both so it should be OK, it sounds like you may have a short on the cabling check all your connections make sure you have paired up all the cables correctly maybe you could try disconnecting the network back to the output units and just do a scan on that to start with once you have that you could start re-connecting the legs of the network onced checked

    regards

    Hey Jason
If the unit light is on it means you have 240V at the unit. If you have no network light on it can be a number of things (no clock, not enough power supplies, a short on the bus cable). The way it's been done of having 24 into 1 cable is ok - not ideal but will still work.
First thing i would test is to disconnect all your field cables so that just the output units are connected with my PC interface then make sure the network is up and you can scan the output units. Then connect in the one lead going out and test to see if you are getting any DC voltage (the network light should stay on when you connect this cable and it should be above 28VDC). If you get voltage on the one cable then you may have a short on one of the 24 cables you've got running out. Start connecting each, one at a time until you seen the network light drop out then thats you problem cable.

    Hope it helps
