Video Intercom and C-Touch

Hi,
A client wants a video intercom that operates via the touch-screen. He wants the video to display on the touch-screen, and to be able to control the intercom (open the door etc) from the touch-screen.

Is this possible???

Controlling the door is easy, as long as you have an electric strike (or similar) and appropriate cable at the door.

Simply run the + of a suitable power supply through a spare C-Bus relay channel (make sure the channel is volt free), assign a group address the that channel and configure a 5 second timer button on the touch screen.

In regards to the camera, you may need a web cam or standard camera with an IP convertor to view the images on the touch screen.

 

main problem would be sound. client will need to use non-c-bus equipment to speak with the guest, as c-touch colour does not support sound and mic.
