    Hi all,

Is there any meetings for like minded C-Bus automation techies/developers to get together to discuss ideas, problems etc in the UK?

    Cheers
    Greg...

    (Anybody remember/goto the Nantucket meetings?)

    Hi Otto,

Yes, I am aware of the C-Bus forum on ah.uk and posted there in the past as you will be aware. In the interests of not "diluting" the valuable and scarce (in the Uk!) information on C-Bus I opted for this forum given the access to Clipsal techies and a longer serving AUS user / integrator base .

The information provided on ah.uk is an invaluable resource for the latest on new products available in the Uk to which I visit on a weekly basis for the news updates.

The user group I was hoping to find was one that holds regular meetings to allow people to talk, share their ideas & findings, have guest speakers etc.

Maybe this is just a trait of the geeky software industry were many hours spent poking the Atari 6502, peeking at Fat Agnus and listening the Spence babble on about the benefits of Objects in Clipper (obsurd at the time!) but always developing the technology was key. (and I miss drinking "Old Perculuar"!)

    Cheers
    Greg...

    Greg

I was actually talking about our long established UK Home Automation community mailing list, rather than the forums you mention (which aren't even a year old yet).

We have a huge weekend meet once a year, this years is reviewed here...
http://www.automatedhome.co.uk/contentid-5.html - you'll see the Clipsal stuff on page 4. I'm pretty sure we were one of the first sites world wide to show screen shots of V3, the wireless gateway etc.

There are also smaller meetings around the country (the last one was London in August from memory) but there have been meeting here in NI as well as Scotland too.

    Thanks

    M.
