Touch Screen alternatives

Hi Guys, Have a project to quote for was going to use 5500NAC2 or 5500AC2 and the 5000ETP10W Ethernet Touch Panel. Just noticed the latest firmware is not compatable with touch panel. this is a commercial building with multiple tennants with each tennancy to have a touch screen. I want to have a interface that is hard connected and does not require WIFI to connect (ie tablet or Ipad on wall. )
Any suggestions on other third party touch screen that may work.

 

With your approach to keep it simple, could you opt for eDLT's? Any interface outside the C-bus eco system will require your additional maintenance. I am doing a self build and looking to Home Assistant integration, although everything beyond C-bus is for fun although I consider less stable, I may use touch screens including Lanbon, Sonoff, Tuya.

 

You can still use an ipad without wifi / internet by using a power / Ethernet adapter

I am about to do a project with an Ipad, using a usb c to ethernet adaptor with the 5500AC2.

 

Comming soon,
A replacement for the original CTC versions of color touchscreens that will run the customers original project.
Based on a new Windows 11 PC wall mounted touchscreen, using the same hole in the wall and fixing screws.

I have never tested this but I believe a Unifi Connect Display would be a good option, I have seen it used as a HA Dashboard before. Although expensive if the site is not already running a Unifi Network.

 

I have now installed an iPad which is hard wired back to the AC2. Works like a charm.
