Interesting, I went to have a look at the tag file with Notepad and get an "access denied" error, killed cgate made no difference, rebooted still locked.

But can open in Toolkit and copy paste the project, the new one opens in Toolkit and notepad ok.

    Hi Dave,

It seems an application has locked the file for use. It is strange that the lock persists after a computer reboot however.

If you can reproduce this again can you please then go to Help | Report a Problem.. and send a log through?

    Thanks Dave.

    Hi Daniel,
Further info, this was a test project I ued in humpback teseting, so guess could have any thing in it.

1 Only app that opens it is toolkit as shown above.
2 If i copy/paste project the new one is ok.
3 open a unit and saved so project rewritten and it now ok
4 the backup file still is locked.

There is a very good utility called SysInternals Process Explorer. Among other things it allows you to examine files to see which applications are using them.

Hi Dave, I have reported this internally (#23631) in case further information comes to light. Technically a field trial file is not supported so creating a new project and copying the content into it is perhaps the best solution anyway.

If you are in a position where you can't access your data please do send it to us and we'll endeavour to recover it.

    Daniel,
Found when I switch to ADMIN user I can access it.
The project is a left over from testing during development so I do not need it other then to play with.

Will keep an eye on other projects.

Excellent. Definitely let us know if it occurs with any files created with Toolkit 1.11.x and untouched by the field trial. Thanks, Dave.
