TOOLKIT TO CGATE ISSUES

Hi brains trust,
Having an issue connecting PC to board via USB connection, on starting Toolkit ( version 1.16.0) cgate fails to open with error message 22946. USB to Serial connection
All has worked ok previously up til now.
USB port working ok
Have the correct connection cable
Tried disabling my McAfee firewall

any clues

 

Which Windows 10?

 

Does C-Gate eventually open after a minute or so?
I occasionally see this problem but C-Gate does eventually start.
If this happens all the time reinstall Toolkit and allow C-Gate to start as a service.hence you won't have to wait for it to start up when opening Toolkit.
This is not my preferred option but that's just my opinion

I reinstall version 1.16.0 and again the same issue, so i have gone to a previous version i had saved - 1.15.7 and bingo, all ok.

Still having shutter relay issue on one relay, why does the unit light on that particular relay flash constantly, does it need to learn or something?

 

Try pressing the open or close button on the relay for 2 seconds, a flashing unit light indicates an override, (somebody has controlled the shutter directly from the unit).
If that does not fix it change the patch lead.

I have to open/stop/close that particular blind manually from the unit as there is a conflict with the colour touch screen which operates my blinds

If i press and hold the 'up' on the relay ( for 2 seconds) to get the flashing to stop the blind then closes, and at the closed position the relay doesn't flash at all.

I'm guessing here and correct me but if i create a new group address for that blind in toolkit on the network & database, then change the blind button on the colour touch to match - import that back into the colour touch , is that the way to get all components to talk together?

 

Yes creating a new GA as mentioned would work.
You mention there is a conflict with the C-Touch but did not expand on what the conflict is. Reason I mention this your fix may be easier, look at the present GA in the blind controller and reprogram the C-Touch to match.
Remember to make a back up of you C-Touch project before altering it just incase it all goes wrong.
