Is it possible to know the PCI command string to read the temperature on the temperature sensor (assuming there is one) via the PC I/F? I've got heating control controlled by CBUS, but want to add some additional logic not possible directly through CBUS (eg different temps under different conditions which vary through the day). The CBUS control is also quite coarse, with tolerance to 2 deg C.

    Thanks

    Ben

Unfortunately not. The access to the temperature value is not a standard C-Bus command. It is only accessable using low level unit reprogramming commands which we do not make available.

However, this is a often requested feature, so I'm sure the hardware chaps have some sort fo plan to address this need in the future.

I surely hope they do. I have been playing with the driver rhamer wrote for CQC and wile he has done an excellent job, it is missing some of these finer details (through no fault of his own) because they are not standard c-bus commands and cant be read using the information given in the public release protocol.

I am sure there are many other instances where people are uning the document and are banging there head on the wall want ing the extra info.

Thanks a lot. This sort of flexibility is very much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Ben
