Run into a curious issue last week where my temp sensor - a 4 channel 5104DTSI has decided to become a network bridge.

So when I do a fresh scan on toolkit, it displays as a temp sensor.

Then, if I try to copy to database or open options to alter it, it fails at 20% then changes to a network bridge as per the first image.

Do I have a faulty unit or should I get it to seek counselling? Tempted to leave it to see if it evolves into a wiser unit. :p
Only recent edition to my system is a Ness Mini Central, but all was installed a couple of weeks ago without skipping a beat.
(Full disclosure for the purpose of determining coincidence or causation.. :D)

Disconnect Ness mini central and re check network scan.
If the problem no longer exist then reconnect, check network voltage, burden status of mini central.
Use diagnostic utility and run the traffic analyser to see if there is excessive traffic with an without the mini central is connected.

Check the temp sensor on a separate network to see if scans OK.
    Hopefully something will show up.

    Cheers Colin.
Great fault finding tips. Will give that a go tonight.

Just had exactly the same problem.
Replaced the unit and got going again.
BUT network scan still shows the serial number as a network bridge even thou the unit is not connected,
Assuming it may be a toolkit error or something in the measurement app of the wiser2

Hi Guys if you are both having the same problem, it may be worth while letting tech support know, so they can investigate.

Just a q to both Damaxx and Kevinbutlin, do you have any actual C-Bus Bridges or C-Bus Wireless Gateways on your network, even at a different address?

Yeah Daniel - I have a wireless gateway on my system. Curious to know your thoughts on this one.
Spoke to tech support and have arranged for the unit to be sent back hopefully this week.

Could in fact be a faulty unit. If C-Gate can't interrogate a unit properly it will default to a generic type and in some cases that is a bridge. Let us know how you go with the RMA.

No problems with the RMA. Was sent a replacement unit from the wholesaler straight away and it has not skipped a beat.

Didn't hear back about the RMA unit other than a request for more details about the fault.
