    G'day, (First post)

Glad to meet y'all... (is that a good start?)

I'm an ex-industrial control boffin who's been quietly waiting for an acceptable set of wireless components for an integrated home project utilising crestron / AMX front end. (After one, I'll probably wind up consulting / programming other projects too!).

I hear of the new C-Bus Wireless thru the ether and happened to see part of a flyer at my local Johnny Turk's outlet the other day. This was shown to me when I asked the guys there about the upcoming Clipsal wireless syst.

I've got info about the three session times on two different days here in Syd... and a req for RSVP by 24 NOV. Tomorrow is day one and I'm wondering if it's possible for me to attend one of the 1800-1930 sessions.

    Tks in advance,
    Pete th'geek

    Hi Mr Th'geek :),

You will need to contact the local Sydney office at this late stage.

Did it.. went there... and enjoyed!

    G'day Richo,
Next time I'll remember to put quotes around my title <g>

Tks for the reply. I telephoned the Sydney office and was advised I could 'register on he night'. This I did and was very excited with the results. A most novel launch. Picked up a Launch Kit... Very swish! Only one prob... The plug adapter dimmer is a leading edge device - my reading lamp (12v) has an electronic supply. It's now relegated to the most over-engineered bedside lamp in town!

I'll post some comments in another thread.

    Thanks Richo.

    Peter.

Yes, running an electronic transformer off a leading edge dimmer is not such a good idea. Best bet is to get yourself a trailing-edge plug-adaptor as these are designed for capacitive-type loads, which is what an electronic transformer is.

Glad you made it to, and enjoyed, the launch!
