Structured Wiring

    Whilst the answer may well be "how long is a piece of string", is there any consensus to what structured wiring protocols there would be for new homes?

    i.e. Over and above the main connection points, would you run a RG6/Cat6 or even Banana cable to the wall plate (door switch) in each living area, bedrooms included?

    You run it to each "space" and make a junction area behind a fales panel. Then you run tubes from there to the presumed location of the connections.

    Usually i hide the wires from the main control area into the closet space and then force all of my room junctions to converge to that point.
