I've a simple apartment setup with just 3x12ch relays and 3x8ch dimmers and no fancy programming. I just 'lost' 2 relay modules (2008 vintage) and was going to keep replacing busted stuff with 2nd hand e-bay cbus gear at 200-300 bucks a pop. The Mrs suggests going with new Spacegear stuff throughout in one clean sweep. I don't mind either way.
    Who's right?

Isn't Rule #1 "The Mrs is always right"? :)

I guess it really depends on your circumstance - Have a look at this comment here, and you will see the woes I am having with circa-2007 kit, mostly on its way out: https://www.cbusforums.com/threads/pulse-commands-intermittently-fail-to-turn-off.11659/#post-63532

But your circumstances may be different to mine, I am not a registered electrician, and live semi-rural, so to be compliant I need to have an electrician to wire in the units, and just getting them to turn up on my driveway incurs a significant cost.

So I am replacing all the output units in one go, both those which are faulty, plus the dimmers (which are much newer units, with no faults), hoping these will be more stable with the newer LED fittings I now have.

Of course, this is just a theory at present - The units are on order, and still pending installation....

Thanks - I guess I'll go the same way and giving in to the Mrs without a fight gets me points I can cash in later :)
