    Hey Guys,
New to the forum and have been looking around for quite a while now as im looking at putting one of the C-Bus system into my house.

Firstly just wanna say hi to everyone and think this forum is awesome for information and feedback from the administrators.

Does anyone know if there is a basic starters guide not to the C-Bus system its self but more towards the wiring concept such as for example main feed comes into C-Bus DSI unit then to luminare etc etc. Im after wiring diagrams for all units and some prgramme information on all units.

Ive been looking for this for a couple of weeks now so thought id ask if anyone knew, ive tried here (page 5) http://www2.clipsal.com/cis/__data/page/428/2006 C-Bus Product Overview Catalogue2.pdf but its a danm basic diagram.

Any Hel pwould be muich appreciated.
    Cheers
    Chris

Usually if you go to the product pages for each C-Bus device you are looking at, and then click on the icon for either the installation manual or user's manual, you will find more detailed wiring diagrams for each product.

    Just go to http://www2.clipsal.com/cis/technical/
and then open "Product Groups", and browse for the product you are looking at wiring, and you should find the download idons for the manuals on each product's page.

    Hope this helps :)

    Thanks for that Darpa,

Is there anything thats narrows it down to sort of "start with this, this will switch these on/off and do this, then if more inputs/outputs are needed use this, to connect MRA youll need this" sort of thing.

I guess ideally it would probably help if i saw a system set up im a commercial sparky so have very little to do with home automation.

    Cheers

    Training Manuals

    Hi,

The manuals from the C-Bus training courses are the best place to start, they are posted on the website here: http://www2.clipsal.com/cis/technical/technical_support/training2/cbus_control_and_management_system

The Basic course covers general C-Bus concepts, wiring, basic programing etc.
Intermediate covers stuff like Touchscreens etc.

If you have the time/money/live near where one is run, i would recommend signing up for the basic course, its well worth it + i think you even get some free C-Bus gear to get you started...

    Cheers,
    Mark.

Most help is on the programming...for wiring information, they expect people to look for a certified installer. Sales branch should sell C-Bus gears with service rather than sell it on a shelf. Even if you are electrical people, maybe you have to pay for installation to the seller in the first time.
