Is it just me is scaning through CNI slower that serial ???

    for a 48 Unit Network

    Full Scan.

    Via CNI took 3:02
    Via Serial took 2:13
Via Serial with Digi and Mapped ComPort 2:15

    By "Digi and Mapped CommPort"

    Digi serial to ethernet
    http://www.digi.com/products/externaldeviceservers/digionesp.jsp
with com port driver on PC.

IE Does same functions as a LANTRONIC.

Why is Scanning via CNI so much Slower ??

My guess is message buffering being done between the Ethernet and C-Bus in the CNI.
    :)

Was that using the Toolkit beta? The next release will have altered CNI communications (to resolve various issues) and that may have contributed to the delays.

OK, let us know with the new version (no it is not released for download yet) if you still have any issues.

I will post to the forum when it is available for download, of course. ;)

    Speed Much better with V1.1.3

Still can not use the delete key in the Port number field on CNI Setup. I Always type 1001 and can not correct quickly !
