We have C-bus installed, and are just about to install solar (water) panels that will be connected thru heat exchanger to the underfloor heating. Any ideas about using C-bus to control the different zones, and ensuring that we do not "cook" the floor

Can you describe us the installation? How you controlled the installation so far? Have you already installed a 4-way mixing valve which controls the incoming temperature to the under floor heating system?

the system has not been commisioned at present, but we have panels on the roof, going to a manifold & heat exchanger, circ pumps installed on the manifold control flow from the panels, and also through the floor. No four way valves installed.

The solar system will no doubt come with its own control gear. Option 1 will be to run with what you have and work out a way to have C-Bus perform Aux control over the top. Option 2 "might" be to have c-bus units perform primary controls. Beware!!! option 2 will take a very in depth knowlege of the control arrangement with logic and safety etc accommodated. From the sounds of it you might be better off looking at a config for option 1. Seeing as it is now Summer you have a few months to get it right. :p

    I will agree with Phil.
I think that it is wiser, safer and cheaper for every application to have c-bus units perform only Aux control over the top.

Does this mean the WHOLE universe can be controlled by c-bus? And will they be including it in the spec for the space station on the moon?:p
