Serial numbers missing

    We seem to be having issues recently with new devices out of the box not reporting their serial numbers.

    Its happened to 5753L PIR's, 5751L PIR's and I even have had it happen to a L5512RVFP.

    Pretty annoying considering this is how we keep track of where each device is installed.

    Can you confirm that you can scan the units in toolkit, and that no serial number is shown in the UI?

    If so, then these units should be considered faulty and replaced under warranty as they have not been correctly programmed in the factory.

    Can you tell us the serial numbers (from the box!) and firmware versions for any of the offending units?

    Grrrr, Just had another 8 (out of 9) 5751L PIR's refuse to show their serial numbers.

    I will go through the official support and get them replaced but I was curious if others are also having this problem.

    Hi
    Just following on with this topic, when I scan the network, I get some units with no Serial numbers. e.g.

    These look like old devices judging by the firmware.

    Is the only option I have to replace units with "No Serial"?

    Thank you in advance if you know of any other options.

    A number of very early devices had no serial numbers. This does not affect the operation of them or the system. Are you experiencing any problems with them?
