Has anyone played with the PICED 4.1 with the security app and the DX alarm panels or the M1? I had a brief look the other day by using the security template in Piced and couldnt get much feedback from the panel ie state of zone or disarm function. Can anyone shed some light on what funtions work for which panel in the Security app. I looked in the help file not much there on the interface and tried tech support who tried to help but wernt sure of what panel and functions were able to be used. Also what model Ipod dock was tested or used in writing the Ipod skin page?

    Hi Nathan,

If you add the template page named 'security application.ctp' you will get a page with indicators to display the zone status and zone names and a few extra for the first 4 zones. The C-Bus messages that set these values are messages on the C-Bus security application called 'zone name' and 'zone status'.

To determine whether the alarm system you are using will transmit these messages try the following steps:
1: open the project in PICED and connect PICED to the C-Bus network.
2: open the PICED log and ensure that the appropriate 'C-Bus Messages' tick boxes are selected on the logs options page
3: ensure 'Show info messages' and 'show C-Gate messages' are both selected
4: twiddle a few things on the alarm system to change zone states and armed states etc
5: when these things occur on the alarm system messages should be sent from the alarm to C-Bus telling you a few things about the changes. If the alarm sends any security application messages they will appear in the PICED log.

    Regards,
