Schedule Plus Doubts

Hello Guys

I have a clipsal project which has been completed 1 year before..its 20 floor hospital-biggest clipsal project in Kuwait...where all floors we have clipsal lighting control..3 lighting control panels each floor and 2 networks each floor as each floor we gt minimum 150 modules including dimmers,relays,change over relays,sensors and switches..and 1 CNI in every floor..I done full programming and everything is working fine...each floor i program individually ..so 20 floors is 20 projects..now i have to make schedule plus for this project ..the purpose is to control all floors together from basement floor main computer room..

While i open schedule plus licenced version software i can open only one project..for example first floor..i cant open other together with it..i read the manuals..its written and shown some diagrams that using c-gate i can connect all CNI's...and open each floor...i didnt understand it...can anyone help me..?

I'm not sure if i'm reading your message right.

You have a Scheduler Plus head-end controlling 20 networks. Are the networks interconnected using CNI's and an ethernet hub or switch??

Are the networks set up under one project in Toolkit????

If so, an unlimited version of Scheduler Plus will work fine.

It is important that all 20 networks are part of the same project in Toolkit.

Some very early SCheduler Plus sites were set up as different projects for different networks. But this has not been the case since Toolkit was introduced several years ago now.

 

Schedule Plus can only use one C-Bus ToolKit project at a time.

If you are using a different C-Bus ToolKit project per floor, you will only be able to control one floor from Schedule Plus. To control the whole building, you will need to:
1. Ensure that all C-Bus networks are interconnected. Since you have a CNI of each floor, then this should be simple - you just need to have all of the CNIs on the same Ethernet network.
2. Combine all of the floors (C-Bus ToolKit Projects) into one C-Bus ToolKit project.
3. Use this new C-Bus ToolKit project in Schedule Plus.

yeah all my 20 floors are 20 projects with 2 networks ,in cbus tool kit..and after doing the programming i connected CNI evry floors..and i havnt scanned the entire project as one...i dont know how can to do it..all CNI is connected to an ethernet switch in each floor...and all ethernet switch is interconnected ...hope my dear friends got the idea...

i am using new tool kit..so please tell me how to scan all these floors as one project..?

please let me know..

Can u explain me how to combine all of the floors into one C-bus toolkit project..? now its 20 different projects..

I have one more doubt..i have three more hospitals having 8 floors full C-bus..now if i have to connect all floors together using network bridge ie each floor one network can i..?actually i tried..but upto 6 networks i got..but i cant scan and go for more than 6...i know there is some limitations..

I wrote this here because if i do scanning for all 20 floors as one ..will this problem comes..?20 floors have 2 networks each..ie 40 networks..

This is not going to be a trivial exercise. Follow these steps:
1. Make a back-up of your 20 C-Bus projects.
2. Edit them to make sure that all C-Bus networks have unique numbers. If there is more than one Network with the same number, for example 253, the process of combining them will not be possible.
3. Make sure all of your CNIs have unique IP Addresses.
4. Send your 20 C-Bus project files to CIS Tech Support and ask them to send them to George to be combined into one project. Refer to this post in your E-Mail so that they know the history of what you are doing.

I started to scan all 20 floors as one..i reached upto 9th floor...but dear the problem is i have labelled all group address before...now again it comes as Group Addresses..what can i do?if i send this 20 projects to technical team can they make it as one project with same labels...?if so its easy for me..or els i have to do labelling again..

Can you give me the email id for the technical team..?yeah here all cni's have different ip address...

 

That is correct. The tags are not stored in the C-Bus units.

CIS does have the ability to combine the projects so that all C-Bus tags and other information is kept.

I have a doubt about the versions of Schedule Plus Software..at present the software provided is version 3.1.0 for the hospital project which have been discussed earlier..but, it supports the toolkit version 1.1.6 and 1.1.7 and the c-gate for that version..the 20floors as one project has been scanned using toolkit version 1.10.6...its working fine in new version toolkit..

This project has been restored to the 1.1.7version toolkit downloaded in the same computer where Schedule Plus Software has been installed...but the project cannot be opened using these two softwares...i mean toolkit n schedule plus..

Kindly suggest me the version of Schedule Plus Software that can support my poject ...

 

Version 3.1 is rather old, and a lot of improvements have been made since then. You really should be using Schedule Plus V4.6.1

You will need to pay for an upgrade, because V4.X of Schedule Plus uses new dongles.

Hi Godwin,
Why cant you try with the Version 4.7.0 schedule plus. Check the working in demo mode, it will run upto 2 hrs. I dont think its possible to upgrade the version 3 to 4, only possibility buying new dongle.

But Suggest you to scan the system again using Toolkit 1.1.7 and run the version 3 schedule plus. It should be working.

Dont try to scan more than 5 network in series it will reduce the speed of transmission, use combination of parrallel and series connection of Bridges.
