    Hey All,

I'm currently looking at putting Saturn Zen switches in to match the e-DLTs I have around the place. I'm trying to look at my options - does the 40 series mech work in the Saturn Zen switches? Or is the only option to either use a R504xNL or a coupler?

I'm guessing the mechs on the R504xNL can't be interchanged with traditional 240 switches either, and are C-Bus only?

30 Series C-bus mechs fit in Zen switches (bit like how they work in Saturn 240v plates). I tried that in my house and found that with Zen having a small LED in the centre that the LED on the 30 series mech didn't glow enough for that to be seen well enough. Other than that they functioned just fine.

So if you are happy to not have the LED indication then go ahead and use the 30 series C-bus mech, otherwise just buy the purpose made C-bus Zen switches. I have one of those and it is fine.

PS 40 series mechs are for Iconic style plates.

Thanks for the reply - are you able to pop the mech out of the purpose made zen switches? Or are they a solid unit?

You can buy the plates without mechs, but if you do get them with 240v mechs then yes the pop out just like any other 30 series mech.
