I have a room that needs the reticulated IR but has no amp or speakers.

I have a spare zone on the Matrix switcher. is the PIN5 just a direct connection to the IR pin on the 3 wire tube receiver ?

    IR reticulation

Is it possible to get the pin descriptions of the CAT 5 cable between the AMP and the Matrix Switcher ?

I know pin 5 is the IR. the multi meter shows a direct connection between PIN 5 and the IR pin of 3 pin connector

So I am thinking my idea should work.

GND seems to be on pins 3 and 4

I could use a local power supply for the 12V+

Have clipsal considered a simple PCB that fits in the 8050TJ case

that connects a matrix swicher AMP cat 5 output to the IR input and could include a simple powersupply so the IR could be powered from the Matrix switcher.

It would not be a hard I dont think and you have the case ready made.

Any one else that would like to use the spare AMP outputs as IR reticulation inputs ?

    Seems to work ok.

would like to loose the extra power pack. Is the voltage on the RJ45 24V and what are the pins?
