Residential House Lot of C-Bus for Sale - Auckland, New Zealand

Hi everyone,

I've recently renovated and replaced my C-Bus system and have all the old removed components and would like to know if anyone is interested in purchasing them?

The contents of the house lot are:

1 x 5500PS C-Bus2 Power Supply
1 x 5500PACA Pascal Automation Controller
1 x 5500PC PC Interface (including Serial to USB and USB to Ethernet connection Cables - so you can connect a distant PC through your home Ethernet connection to the interface)
1 x L5512RVF 12 Channel Voltage Free Relays
2 x L5508D1A 8 Channel Dimmers (One of them has one faulty channel but no other issues)
2 x 5055DL DLT Wall Switches (both work perfectly though a few of the buttons are a little worn)
4 x Four Gang push button light switches (three of them are fairly yellowed from sun/age)
2 x One Gang push button light switches (neither of these are yellowed)

I have no idea what these are worth so am happy for someone to make an offer. Can provide pictures of anything also.

I am located in Auckland, New Zealand and am willing to ship worldwide at buyer's expense.

Only replaced this as trying to get additional parts for the system for the renovation we did was going to be more expensive than switching to a new Wiser home automation so I'm hoping that someone can get some use out of these for a decent price for them and a bit of money for me.

I would be interested in the C-Bus output units - 1 x L5512RVF 12 Channel Voltage Free Relay and 2 x L5508D1A 8 Channel Dimmers.
You mentioned that one of the dimmers has a faulty channel > "(One of them has one faulty channel but no other issues)".
I note that you have another thread talking about "Jammed Relay on 5508D1AP 8 Channel Dimmer" which ended up being a blown triac from a short circuit by a "sparkie". So, the question arises, the dimmers that you are trying to sell are they L5508D1A or L5508D1AP ? (the latter with the "P" does not have a built in C-Bus network power supply).
I don't have an immediate need for the output units I would be buying them as spares for my house. The C-Bus power supplies in the 55 series units can fail after twenty or so years ;-)

Also, what sort of money would you be looking for, for a partial sale ? Output units only ? (PS units only).

I am across the ditch in sunny Sydney.

I had also listed up the items I have on Trade Me (NZ eBay) and they have actually met reserve (I just put $100) so it looks like I'll actually end up moving them on to someone over here, sorry.

With the dimmer units, I just checked the product code on them again and they definitely just say L5508D1A, however they also clearly state on the front that they don't include a power supply so it appears that they are L5508D1AP units so my apologies for getting that wrong (I'd forgotten about the post I had done earlier about the jammed relay, I was just looking at the code on the item itself.

If the TradeMe sale falls through I'll come back to you on this thread, otherwise I can ask the purchaser if they are keen to on-sell those units (they may just be after something particular in my house lot) and can DM you their contact details if so.

Hi David,

All good - I have a spare L5508D1AP so I don't need another.
I just checked my spare unit, and I also see a side sticker with part number 5508D1A but the front has the transfer with wording that the unit does not include the C Bus Power Supply. Poor old CIS got this bit pretty wrong.
