I have a 4 gang key input with 4ch IR recieving unit, and was just wondering if I was able to remote control a scene set on a Saturn unit. If so, how is this possible through C-Bus Toolkit/C-Gate.

Another question. When using a key to control a scene, if possible, how can you make it so lights go back to their old levels (or off) when you press the scene button again? Also, is it possible to control several lights with the non-neo firmware keyinput units (IE. The 4gang 4ch IR switch - Model Number: 5024NIRL).

Any input would be greatly appreciated. We've searched all the documentation and can't find anything of relevance.

    Many Thanks,
    Nathan Manzi.

If the IR receiver is not controlling any lighting directly, you can set it to the control application. You can then use the input to recall the preset level for the control trigger assigned to the scene that you wish to select in the Saturn. If you also wish to directly control lighting application groups from the IR then you have a problem as only one application can be assigned to the unit. Furthermore it is not possible to trigger a Saturn scene from a lighting application group address.

Assuming you have your IR set to the control application, you can set up a short push to trigger the preset level for the scene and a long push to turn the control group address off. This off level can then be used to trigger an Off scene in the Saturn.

You are limited to a maximum of 4 group addresses and hence 4 lighting circuits with this unit. You can use Ramprecall1 to set up a scene with a ramp rate and Recall2 to to set another scene that you can switch to.

    Hope this helps.

We were referring to the Saturn units, sorry. For example: When pressing an assigned key to trigger a scene (While the unit is on the Lighting application), you'd think it would be logical to be able to press the button again to resume the normal lighting or turn the lights off all together.

    Thanks,

Scene toggle is not possible with current Saturn units.

We plan on adding it to a future release.
