can someone advise me on this.
Im about to run all the audio cables for the house.
I was decided on using 12g twisted 2 core but i now realise all of the clipsal wall points i bought SPK30 are RCA connection points.

This is the setup for each room:

    1. COMPUTER sound card > optical cable (out)
    2. AMP/receiver > optical cable (in) 12g speaker cable (out)
    3. 30SPK wallpoint behind amp > 12g to RCA (in) RCA to 12g (out)
    4. 30SPK wallpoint behind speaker > 12g to RCA (in) RCA to 12g (out)
    5. Speaker > 12g speaker cable (in)

Can 12g speaker cable be home crimped or soldered with RCA conectors so i can use the 30SPK wallpoints as speaker cable patch bays?

I dont want the cables hanging all over the place, and i wanted sheilded conection patch bays as apposed the clamp down style normaly used on exposed speaker cable.

I was also thinking about using RG6 instead of 12g speaker wire, but then i would have to swap all the 30SPK RCA points for the RG6 type. Not sure which is beter or if i should be using something totaly different.
Im just using the slimline wall plates, so i need some conector that mounts onto those if not the RCA or RG6

    Any advice appreciated.
    Thanks
