Has anyone found a way to get push notifications via iOS??
I was trying to come up with a way to get alerted when a group address status changes..
I realise that the wiser probably won't work because it doesnt hold a constant connection but was hoping there was another way?

If your email server supports push notifications, you could use the logic function SendEmail to send a message.

So I've found out that gmail isn't supported - how about hotmail?

I don't think that hotmail will work.

Only e-mail accounts using POP3/SMTP without encryption are supported.

So basically this email function doesn't work on any services with SSL?

Does anyone have any suggestions for an email service that works with Wiser?
My internet provider is Bigpond and I believe they are using the Hotmail/Live settings for their email service.

What about POP before SMTP? Would this be a suitable way to get around this issue? If so, how would I simulate this in logic?

A few years back (before Wiser) we had the same request. In the end I set up TCL scripting (free and relatively easy to learn) to send out pre-scripted e-mails via SMTP. You would need HomeGate or Schedule plus on-site for this to work though.
