    Hi,

Am I correct that profiles are not actually supported in Wiser?

They are mentioned in the manual, also with specific reference to Wiser, but anything related to them is greyed out, no matter if I start a new blank project, or if I try and access the features in an existing one.

From what I read, profiles would allow access to specific widget groups, based on separate passwords.
That's a great feature, and I would very much like to apply it.

If this is actually working, I would appreciate some advise how to get it going.:)

    Hi Roosta,

    Thank you for the reply.

The very specific mention is in the "Programmers Guide" p 129.

Pity that these are not available, but at least now I know one difference between the current and the future Wiser. I assume you are pretty certain of this.

    Hi Thomas,

Roosta is very correct, that profiles in PICED are currently only for Touch Screens. See attached image confirmation from the PICED online help system in the unit differences / software limits section. You are not going loopy, it is listed in the PICED Programmer's guide as you say, but I guess the feature never got implemented. Someone here probably knows why.

The tantalising Wiser 2 specifications are currently listed in point form in the trade products guide or the C-Bus product overview catalogue, but release date is still a mystery.

    • Android and iOS Apps) providing complementary control of native C-Bus on-wall devices

    Have a good one,

    Thank you Brad,

Your replies are, as usual, very comprehensive:)

It looks like the V2 will be very different, even in the physical layout.
Let's hope that it will be available in the near future (I am not asking when though).

    Have a good weekend!

Nah, it's just an old website trick, big image files and cut/paste tables make anything look comprehensive. :p

Like you I'm hoping for a near future release too, specs suggest a nice unit with many new features.

    have a good one,

    Brad
