    Hi All,
I'm still having problems with getting my PC to restart the project after a power fail, it works ok from opening the project from the desktop, but not after reset.
There may have been a conflict between S/W versions i was using, so I'm going to re install all the Clipsal software...Cgate 3.6.0, Toolkit 1.19.2, Schedule Plus 5.10.0, Commissioning Tool 2.12.0 .

Is there a preferred order to load/install these onto a PC.

    regards
    Trevor

I have narrowed it down a bit i think,
When the PC resets Toolkit is not keeping/loading the project and opening the network connection.

How do i setup Toolkit to open the network connection for the previous project when restarting the PC

    OK,
    Another update,
If Toolkit has kept the network running after a reset the Schedule Plus project still wont connect. I have to de select the connect to Cbus option then re select it and it will then connect.

    Anyone have any ideas.

Toolkit won't open a project until you select it. That's how its designed. You can get it to leave the project open when you exit Toolkit, but if you reboot the PC, Cgate won't automatically reopen it. Schedule Plus is the same by default. You can add /cgate to the startup command line to get it to connect to Cgate and open the current project on startup.

If you just want Cgate to open the project on reboot so its always available you can use a Telnet client that supports command line startup options to send the appropriate commands to cgate.

    Hi Ashley,
Appreciate the reply, just before i left work today i had it working, used win11 task scheduler to open Toolkit on restart, that seems to work so far, i did the open schedule plus and it worked ok. Ill complete setting it up tomorrow and let you know. It will need a batch file to open toolkit then schedule plus with a delay between them.

You did install Cgate as a Service I assume? Have you made sure it is running when you reboot the PC before starting Toolkit or SP?

    Hi Ash,
I did have it running as a service, i am now trying it not as a service, and also using a batch file to load toolkit then schedule plus 10 seconds after that...Will let you know how that goes.

    Same damn result.
FYI, I'm using the latest programs...Toolkit 1.19.2 Schedule Plus 5.10.0
I have been all over this and can't figure it out.
This is a screen shot after resetting and just running Schedule Plus, it loads cgate as shown below, its saying it has a port failure and can't open it,
Is it something to do with the 803 command cmd7 line. The cni address and port are correct, there running on a Raspberry Pi 4, Toolkit can see this no problem except at startup it is closed.
This is what it looks like after the PC is reset, the lower picture is after i have reopened Schedule plus after closing it from the above picture, nothing else was done between them...
I really hope that someone can see why this is happening.

But Schedule plus has opened up Cgate on the PC and you said you had one running on the Pi. That's why the PC one can't connect. You have to tell Schedule Plus to use the remote Cgate on the PI.

    Hi Ashley,
No, cgate is only running on the pc. It may be resolved now, i need to double check it in the morning, i may have had an incorrect network setup on the pi4 unit. I'll post in the morning to confirm it.

So what's to PI doing then? What's it got to do with the CNI?

The pi is acting as a cni, it has a pi hat pcb converting the cbus comms network connection back to the pc via the pi pcb network port.
