What is the application of the internal relay of the Pro Dimmer? For CBS?

Is there any way we can order a Pro Dimmer with different internal relay charateristics? I would like something to turn on a computer fan when the dimmer gets a bit hot, for example.

When you say 'Pro Dimmer', what model/s exactly are you talking about?

L5104D5, L5102D10, L5101D20 Professional Dimmers. I am refering to the auxiliary relay output of these dimmers.

having think twice about my question, maybe it is not logical to want dimmers providing different functions on its hardware. So perhaps I am having two questions:

What is the normal application/wiring for the relay output of Professional dimmers?

and how I can have a thermal protection on the whole dimmer panel? Just a simply method to turn on a small ventilation fan..etc.

    Dimmer cooling

    Wanricky,
In a couple of installations now were we have a serious number of pro series dimmers (sometimes>25-30) we have obviously had them in cupboards and enclosures. We have installed a simple but effective exhaust fan that comes complete with a thermostat control unit.
The thermostat can be mounted in the cupboard or enclosure, and, in conjunction with a vent or grill on the bottom of the door, be used to draw cool air through the enclosure.
Most dimmers though, are constructed to disipate the heat they generate as long as their not overloaded.

The auxiliary relay contacts on the professional dimmers are closed when the unit has power and open when the unit is not powered. Typical use case for the Relay contact is for wiring to Emergency Lighting.

The way this relay operates is not configurable.

"exhaust fan that comes complete with a thermostat control unit" is exactly what I want! Could I get it from shops?

and yeah, we have never seen an overheated professional dimmer, but we always want to get insurance and possibly extend the life of the systems. Clients don't like warm panels.
