Hello, currently designing C-bus & starserve for new residential townhouses. Curious as to know what is the most common method for distribution of infrared signals for TV, DVD etc.....Do most installers utilise the infra red through the starserve or through the C-bus trasmitters. Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated, regards

C-Bus doesn't re-transmit infra red signals. It can output them but it doesn't act as a conduit(having said that, the new MRA does....). I have used starserve before and it works well most of the time.
I have had some issues (but rare) and I think it has to do with the room being lit with bright sunlight where I am transmitting the signals. The receivers can't make out the signal from the background IR.
But as I said, this is rare.
