Hi guys, I'm fairly well versed in C-Cbus programming itself and diagnosing issues on networks but this seems to have gotten me.

Now, all of a sudden a few switches (input devices) stopped working properly simultaneously, hence it must've been something related to a power supply rather than the input devices being faulty themselves.

Now, there are 4 "physical lots" of relays scattered around the house on the downstairs network - 2 of them have the OLD power supply 5100PS and 1 of them has a 5500PS and recently a 5500PS just failed - this was causing problems on the network meaning the input devices weren't working properly. I hence bought a L5512RVF (which has the included power supply planning on replacing the 1998 old relays) but before I plugged it in with the pink cable, everything started working again happy days -> I still switched on the new power supply 12 channel relay because I thought everything would be better with more power rather than worse.

Fast forward 3 months later, the random input devices not working. When I go to one of the 5100PS and turn it off, the network starts functioning perfectly (but the CBUS light on one unit is off (5500PS), and on the other unit (L5512RVF) it's flashing, which means that the voltage is too low. If I turn the 5100PS on, the green lights are all solid but the issues occur with the switches.

Is this most likely because the power supply in the L5512RVF is not 350ma (unlike the 5500PS it virtually replaced) and that the 5100PS is faulty? If I bought a L5504D2U and put it where the 5100PS (that I'm turning on and off), could that be my best bet?

Would the network burden in the 5500PC be the solution?

What about the 5504D2D (new space logic ones) -> are these worse than the CBUS ones that are discontinued - (currently use https://github.com/micolous/cbus for my cbus to mqtt setup to get cbus into home assistant).

    Thanks in advance.

get rid of the old power supplies - if you connect them to 240 and test the output you will probably see them rising above 42v just get rid of them replace with a din version assuming they are upload_2025-5-5_15-37-21.png
that will more then likely solve most communication issues.
the old power supplies fail and spit a lot of garbage on the network.

Part 2 of your question the new dimmer you reference is heaps better in most sense, you could in later version of toolkit even put the groups in the chanels however the good functions can only be done with spacelogic commission software so this is the crap part. Also note they dont support area addresses. The messaging structure is the same some its irelevant to your cbus to Mqtt - if you use the same group addresses the dimmer will operate just as the old one no functionality difference on HA side.
